WEST SOMERSET RAILWAY Many Years Ago Part 2

Описание: In this part we have a close look in the past at one of the smaller and more remote stations on the line. One of the main features of the station was a cattle dock which can still be seen showing its rural connections. Later a camping coach was parked there and water for it regularly brought in a tanker wagon by train There was also a large and tall goods shed to the left of the main building. The platform length and start point has varied several times over the years.Today, the platform has been greatly extended since 1989 and the wooden section made more permanent. The crossing to the platform has been now located much closer to the Station Building. Also a wooden shelter has now been removed. At present, work is continuing in producing a new shelter off the rear side of the platform with a store room situated below it.
