HOW TO DO A SHED-LESS TREATMENT ON A DOUBLE COATED DOG

When I first started as a groomer I couldn't really understand how a proper Shedless treatment was done. This video will hopefully help new groomers and pet parents of double coated animals understand the process. Dogs with double coat need help blowing it out. If this isn't done matting will occur and shedding will increase. I do NOT believe in shaving a double coated dog to the skin. Their fur protects their skin and is used as insulation to keep them cool in the warmer months and to keep them warm in the wintertime. Many dogs with a double coat have pale pink skin and therefore are more prone to sunburn.
