My name is Prof. Dr. Aizand Mand Ahmad, I have been Incharge of Nephrology in Shaikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore and dealing patients of kidney diseases for the last 40 years. I have seen all kind of patients relating to kidney diseases. I have vast experience about dialysis and kidney transplant patients. I have been doing my practice now. I want to aware you about different kind of diseases of kidney. Human body has two kidneys which exist back side of bailey. Few people have one kidney by birth but most of people have two kidneys. Kidney plays different role in our body, firstly the role of kidney is to discharge not goog for health masses like urea, critenine, phinalic compound. Secondly kidney maintains balance of minerals in our body, if potassium or sodium increases in our body, it discharges them from our body. They control acidity in the body. They make blood, erythropoietin creates through blood. If kidney are not working properly, there is shortage of blood. Kidney plays pivotal role for health of bones. They control metabolism of calcium and vitamin-D and make kidney in active form through vitamin-D. if kidney is out of order, there is shortage of vitamin-D which cause shortage of calcium, problem arises in discharging of phosphate due to which parathoid harmon increases. There is function of detoxification in kidney which weak bones. It doxify in our body and discharge medicines, we take. They discharge it through kidney. If someone has weak kidneys we have to minimize his dose because kidney will discharge low quantity. It is observed that patients visit doctors on last stage. Their reports are not good, kidneys are out of order. Now a days the big factor of kidney disease is sugar (mellitus diabetes). Hypertension is also cause of renal disease. The people who do not control suger and blood pressure, their kidney become weak with the passage of time. Thirdly, nitrites become also cause of kidney diseases. Fourthly inherited diseases like polycystic become kidney disease. Fifthly stone in kidney is also a disease which defects kidney. But now a days there is good treatment of kidney stones through laser or lithotripsy, such kind of disease is decreasing patients ratio. Due to infection in kidney time and again it also cause kidney disease. The people who use non-steroid drugs, pain killers become cause of kidney disease and kidney become out of order. The people who visit quacks and use heavy metals and kushtays it destroy kidneys too. When someone feels pain, swelling, fever etc rushes to doctor but disease show its symbol very late which is very harmful for patient. If someone has chest pain, he will tell doctor about heart problem. If someone has silent heart attack it is very dangerous. Similarly kidney diseases have late symbols and patient is unaware of kidney disease.
