15671 Kamakhya - Rohtak AMRIT BHARAT Express was pulled and pushed by two WAP5 locomotives on its first commercial run from Kamakhya, but they failed enroute. A Pune-based WAP7 locomotive rescued the train and pulled it to Rohtak.
On the return journey from Rohtak, 15672 Rohtak - Kamakhya Amrit Bharat Express was hauled by the same WAP7 locomotive from Rohtak and reached Kamakhya without any issues.

This is the first commercial run of this train, ex-Rohtak: 01/02/2026. The first commercial run from Kamakhya started on 30/01/2026.

The AMRIT BHARAT EXPRESS trains are powered by two electric locomotives, either WAP5 or WAP7 variants. One locomotive is positioned at the front to pull the train, while the other is located at the rear to push it. This setup helps in faster acceleration of the train, competing with the VANDE BHARAT EXPRESS (Train-18) trainsets.
