When Mixer Direct started we weren't making our tanks in-house, we were reselling them. We grew frustrated with the process of going out, requesting quotes, and then waiting a week or more to get these quotes back and then providing these quotes to our customers. We wanted to develop tools for our customers so that they can get their quotes quickly and they can proceed with their project, because we understand that we are just a piece of their project.

We've got our online tank designer where you can go on there and customize the tank with different heads, different fittings, and different lid options. Or you can call up a sales engineer and we can review with you any specific tank needs you have for you to customize beyond what the online tank (designer) won't provide. We can change your straight side height, your shell diameter, and your shell thickness. We can also add ASME jackets, do fittings that aren't readily available on the website, as well as add manways. So, there are a few options that we can add to your custom tank quote.

With every tank order, we design that tank for you custom, and we will provide you with a drawing that we designed in the latest 3D cad software package available. We will then provide that drawing to you for your approval prior to us starting the fabrication of that tank.

What we can do also, is design a mixer for you. So, we will design the tank and the mixer to work together. The various mixer options you have are a top entry mixer, a clamp mount mixer, or an anchor-style mixer which would be available on our tanks. You can call any of our sales engineers and we can provide you with help to help specify your mixer and your tank to ensure your process success.

We offer a number of different finishes here. Our standard finish would be a 2B on the outside, which is like a mill finish where we don't actually clean up the welds, we just leave them exposed. But we clean up all your sharp edges and remove all weld discoloration so it looks good but you still see the weld.

We also offer 2G finish on the inside, which is our standard. This is that nice mill finish and then we grind every weld smooth so that way you get a nice clean weld at each individual weld.

We can offer and #4 finish where we actually polish the entire inside of that tank. We can even electropolish the inside and offer you surface finish certificates.
