There is a slightly more throaty sound with the new kit. And what I notice, when doing full throttle accelerations, since the car revs up quicker now, it makes the engine have a faster sound. It is definitely a subtle sound difference, but I can feel the car get up and go a bit quicker, and it sounds like it revs quicker too.
