Описание: Saturday marks the 2 year anniversary of the start of the Ukraine war. Despite hundreds of thousands of lives lost and more than $200 billion spent, the 2 sides are mired in a deadlock with an uncertain future on the horizon. It is estimated that 70% of Ukrainians have experienced the loss or serious injury of a family member or close friend. Despite the stalemate, humanitarian aid continues to pour into the country from around the world, including a record $22 million from the Knights of Columbus. The Metropolitan-Archbishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia and Metropolitan for the Ukrainian Catholic Church in the United States, Borys Gudziak, joins to give us an update on the people and the country 2 years on. Gudziak discusses what the emotional and spiritual impact on the region has been. Gudziak was quoted saying, "If Russia puts down arms, the war's over. If Ukraine puts down arms, Ukraine's over." He explains that statement a bit more and whether he sees a resolution to the stalemate anytime soon.
