🚆Hooray - the Armadale Line is reopening on Monday, 13 October 2025 🎉
After the biggest transformation in its 132-year history, the line is reopening with an extension to Byford, providing the town with its first train station ever.
The community will have access to:
🚆 A new station in Byford with over 400 parking bays
🙌 An elevated Armadale Station with modern facilities
🏀 8 hectares of public space 🌳
🚲 8 km of walking and cycling paths 🚶♂️
We’re also celebrating the official opening of Long Park, a 7 km green corridor with 14 community spaces developed beneath the elevated rail line between Carlisle Station and Beckenham Station. Decked with playgrounds, plazas, skate parks, sports courts, dog and fitness areas, there’s something for everyone!
🎊 A community celebration will be held on Sunday, 12 October to mark this historic moment and showcase the newly activated public space.
