A "Dickinson" / "Across the Spider-Verse" reunion @ Tribeca Film Fest 2023!! Hailee Steinfeld and Ayo Edebiri have an absolute treat of a conversation :')
Apologies for the shaking at the start, was hit by the full Hailee Effect lol. Video steadies @ 2:45 . Frame shifts throughout as I wasn't looking at my screen & trying to be in the moment!
Technical issues / break in the video @ 29:00 . Hailee explained it can be more vulnerable to perform and create as a singer vs. actor, and Ayo agreed explaining there's an old saying "Comedians want to be musicians, and musicians want to be comedians." re: how comedians hide the heaviness of their vulnerability in their jokes. Hailee then asked her about her writing process (short break in the video again @ 30:13, but it was for a millisecond!)
