The Furman Lab leverages the aging effects of space and microgravity, combined with multi-omics profiling, to accelerate biological aging in human blood and organoids. This approach enables the precise assessment of aging trajectories, disease mechanisms, and the discovery of novel interventions in a controlled environment. They also integrate computer vision and signal processing to analyze facial biomarkers predictive of organ-specific aging rates. By correlating external aging markers with underlying molecular signatures, they develop AI-driven technologies that provide a comprehensive view of systemic aging. These advancements will enable the creation of an ultra-low-cost, non-invasive tool to estimate organ aging rates, with applications in longevity research, early disease detection, and personalized health optimization.
