Want to Learn About the New IPP Form Being Used by Regional Centers?

Описание: California’s Department of Developmental Services (DDS) introduced a brand-new, standardized Individual Program Plan (IPP) form on January 1, 2025 following the state passing a law in 2023 requiring a standardized form for IPPs.

Regional centers across the state are now required to use this for all new IPP meetings, amendments, reviews, and renewals. Existing regional center clients may choose to transition to the new form at their upcoming annual IPP meeting, and DDS plans to transition all IPPs to the new format by the end of 2027. (Different Regional centers may have different approaches about when to transition folks to the new form, so please check with your service coordinator).

Please join Ernie Cruz, the Deputy Director of the Community Services Division, and Marcy Okada, the Chief of the Transitions and Partnerships Section in the Children, Adolescents, and Young Adult Services Division of DDS. They will speak on how the new form focuses on the individual’s strengths, values, and life goals by addressing:
– The standardized sections of the form
– What to expect at your next IPP meeting
– Resource and tips to help you prepare for the transition to the new form

The new IPP form delivers more consistency, clarity, and a personalized approach to support planning, incorporating person-centered thinking. It ensures the individual’s voice — and what matters most to them — takes center stage.
