Ketaki Sangameswara Swamy temple is in Jharasangam, Sangareddy District. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva with Goddess Parameshwari. The Sangameswara temple is an ancient temple with greenery and a beautiful atmosphere. Ketaki Sangameswara Swamy temple timings are from 5:30 am to 9 pm.
Ketaki Sangameswara Swamy temple is also known as Sangameswara Swamy Temple. Devotees from Telangana, Karnataka, and Maharashtra visit the temple for its religious and historical importance.
According to Krutha Yuga, a King Raja Kupendra from Surya Vamsham. He had a skin disease for which there was no remedy.
Once the king went to the forest for hunting, where he found Ketaki Vanam. There he found a stream that washed his body. Surprisingly the skin disease was the cure. On the same night, the king had a dream in which Lord Shiva instructed him to build a temple.
The king built the temple, and the stream is Pushkarini consisting of 8 theerthas or “Astha Theertha Amrutha Gundam.” The Pushkarini is known as Dakshina Kasi.
It is said that after creating the World, Lord Brahma visited this place for meditation. Brahma himself created the Shiva Lingam. The speciality here is that devotees offer Ketaki flowers and leaves to Shiva Lingam, not shown to Lord Shiva.
Ketaki Sangameswara Swamy temple timings are from 5:30 am to 9 pm. The temple remains closed from 1 pm to 4 pm.
