This video will walk you through the mechanism for interconverting between the linear and ring forms of both D-Glucose and D-Fructose, with my time-saving shortcuts for quickly drawing the Haworth projection of either sugar when given its Fischer projection.
You’ll learn to draw the pyranose form of Glucose as well as the furanose form of Fructose.
We’ll also review how to recognize and draw the D and L configurations of both sugars, as well as the alpha and beta anomers.
