We love this mobility flow by Dylan Carlson:
"Today, we are hitting a Fire Hydrant and then progressing to a Kneeling Tit. This is a great exercise to strengthen your glutes while practicing hip extension, external rotation, and abduction. 🔥
SET UP: Start on all fours with knees under your hips and hands under your shoulders. Drop your belly to create an anterior pelvic tilt and try to keep your hips relatively square. Lift one leg away from your body at a 45-degree angle and keep your knee at 90 degrees. Hold at the end range for a full second and then return to the starting position.
If this is too easy, we can progress to a kneeling tilt! The mechanics of this movement are similar to the fire hydrant but we will straighten the leg instead of keeping the knee bent.
I like to complete these in sets of 5. Once these become easier, we can hold the end range position for 1-10 seconds. The longer the hold, the greater the burn!
