In today’s couple vlog, we’re spending a cozy day at home — working on our own projects, baking a lemon berry cake, and making homemade pizza from scratch 🍋🍕✨
K has been busy planning his final MA research, and I’ve been applying for jobs — both exciting and a little stressful 💻☁️
But in between the work, we made time for the sweet and salty little things: warm cake, pink lemonade, and a quiet pizza night paired with anime 🫶🎥

🍋 Lemon Berry Cake Recipe (Strawberry Upside-Down Style)
Light, zesty, and packed with juicy berries — perfect for cozy mornings!

Ingredients:
220g caster sugar
4 eggs
220g self-raising flour
2 tsp baking powder
220g softened butter
2 tbsp lemon juice
Zest of 1 lemon
Fresh strawberries & blueberries 🍓🫐

Steps:
Cream butter + sugar
Add eggs, lemon juice, and zest
Fold in flour + baking powder
Arrange halved strawberries in the pan, and mix blueberries into the batter
Pour, bake at 160°C for 30–40 mins
Let cool + gently flip to serve 🍰

🍕 Homemade Pizza Dough (Fermented Overnight)
Serves medium-sized 6 pizzas.

Ingredients:
1kg bread flour
20g salt
11g dry yeast
840ml warm water
2 tbsp olive oil

Steps:
Mix all ingredients together
Let rest 30 mins (covered)
Stretch and fold once
Rest for another 30 mins, then stretch + fold again
After the third rest (30 mins), divide into 260g portions
Place each portion in a container and refrigerate overnight 🧊
Take out 1–2 hours before baking to rest at room temperature
Pre-bake 3–4 mins, add toppings, then bake until golden ✨

Pineapple 🍍
Fresh basil 🌿
Cheddar cheese 🧀
Chili flakes 🌶️
