In reality, Port Royal was struck by multiple natural disasters. A devastating earthquake and tsunami on June 7, 1692 sank much of the city and killed over a quarter of its population, followed by epidemics (1692–1693), a fire in 1703 and hurricanes in 1712, 1722, 1726 and 1744, sealing the fate of the infamous pirate haven.
🎶 Music style: Epic folk, sea shanty, cinematic pirate ballad
🎨 Visuals: Inspired by the art of Howard Pyle & historical maritime paintings

Lyrics:
[Instrumental intro]
[Intro]
Port Royal stood with a devil's grin,
A hundred taverns soaked in sin,
Rum ran red, the gold ran deep,
Where thieves would toast and none would sleep.
[Instrumental interlude]
[Chorus]
Yo-ho! The gates of Hell swung wide,
Rum and fire on every tide!
Yo-ho! Hear the old bell clang,
Port Royal, where the wicked sang!
[Instrumental interlude]
[Verse 2]
Henry Morgan ruled the shore,
Port Royal’s throne in blood and lore.
Blackbeard laughed through smoke and flame,
And Calico Jack drank here to fame.
[Chorus]
Yo-ho! The gates of Hell swung wide,
Rum and fire on every tide!
Yo-ho! Hear the old bell clang,
Port Royal, where the wicked sang!
[Instrumental interlude]
[Verse 3]
Flags of death cut through the tide.
As gallows rose in grim delight.
Anne Bonny drew her blade to fight,
While knaves made merry through tavern night.
[Instrumental interlude]
[Verse 4]
But then the sea began to wail,
The ground did split, the sky turned pale.
A tidal scream, a fiery moan,
The devil came to claim his own.
To claim his own!
[Instrumental interlude]
[Final chorus]
Yo-ho! Remember that shore,
Where a hundred taverns sang of war.
Yo-ho! Now the sea rolls cold and gray,
But Port Royal's curse won’t fade away.
[Instrumental outro]
[End]
