Today we're going to be talking a look at the part number EN58522. This is the Erickson adjustable ratchet and wheel net. It's going to have the hooks on each side and it's going to offer a break strength of 10,000 pounds. Now it's a nice heavy duty yellow strap so it's going to be highly visible, making sure that you can get it situated correctly around your tire. It's going to fit a variety of tire sizes from 14" to 29". That's going to be your overall diameter.

Here in the center it's going to feature a nice wide heavy duty strap. That's going to be a 4" wide strap. The rest of the strap is going to measure 2" in width. Again, it's going to offer a break strength rating of 10,000 pounds, with a safe working load limit of 3,333 pounds. On this end you're going to have your anchor point; it's going to be a double j-hook, nice steel construction. Looks like it has the dichromate plating on it so it's going to have that finish to resist rust and corrosion. On this end here you're going to have the short handle ratcheting mechanism.

It's going to have a swivel hook on it for your anchor. That way you can fit it in a variety of positions and locations. You can see here that it's going to feature a cam buckle. This is a 2" cam buckle. This is going to allow the webbing to be shortened or lengthened.

That's going to ensure that the straps are in the correct location on both larger and smaller tires. Center strap, then you have the strap that goes around that's controlled with the cam buckle here. Plenty of excess strap that you want to make sure to tie off in a safe location or a safe position. The cam buckle has a nice secure hold on it. That's going to allow to get the strap tight around the tire. Then you're going to have your anchor points on each side.

Once you're ready to tighten it down. All you have to do is operate the easy to use ratchet mechanism. It's got the nice oversized release lever. Now to loosen up the strap like when you're done hauling and you want to get this off your trailer, all you have to do is pull in or pull up on the release mechanism and then simply just give the strap a nice tug. That's going to allow the strap to disengage. Now this ratchet strap is going to offer three positions. In the fully closed position it's not going to be able to open until you have the release lever engaged. The middle position is going to be your ratcheting position, and then fully open is going to allow you to disengage the strap from your application. Again, strap width is going to be 2" right here. Then you're going to have that center section that's 4" wide. This is going to fit 14" to 29" tires. That's going to do it for our review of part number EM58522.
