🚴♂️ I biked 20 miles, on the Pacific Electric Bike Trail, through 5 Southern California cities and uncovered 100 years of hidden history… all along one forgotten railway. At the end, I hopped a Metrolink train for the ride back — a perfect mix of cycling, history, and day-trip adventure.
In this video, we’ll start at the Rialto Metrolink Station and follow the path of the old Pacific Electric "Red Car" railway through Rialto, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, and Claremont. Along the way, we’ll explore historic landmarks, citrus industry roots, train depots, and stories of how these cities grew from farmland to thriving communities.
After a 20-mile journey filled with history and hidden gems, we’ll get some ice cream in historic downtown Claremont before hopping on the Metrolink train for the ride back to Rialto. 🚆
Whether you’re a history buff, cyclist, or just curious about Southern California’s past, you’ll enjoy this mix of travel, biking, and storytelling.
