Описание: This video describes the production of Segmented Wood Bowls in which the individual layers are tapered at 5 degrees per layer. The production of the segmented layers is first described, then the cutting of the segmented layers on the Accu-Slice system using the Offset Cam clamping fence is described. The layers are glued up and then the bowls are turned on the lathe. The production of these tapered layer bowls is challenging because the bowl blanks are out of balance on the lathe and the projected lip requires care in the turning operation. This type of bowl turning should only be attempted by highly experienced lathe operators due to the safety concerns when turning these out of balance wood bowls.
