Last Interview With Harold Camping

Описание: This is an audio excerpt from the film Apocalypse Later. Clearly, Harold Camping was humbled after preaching that judgment day would come on May 21, 2011. He admitted that he had sinned and expressed no interesting in making another prediction. Camping also softened his message regarding God's judgment on the church. Although he believed the churches are becoming increasingly apostate--he did not believe it was his job to judge those in the church. He thought it best to simply let them find out for themselves.

I don't agree with Camping's conclusion that we cannot know the day or hour of Christ's return. The Bible teaches that God the Father sent the Holy Spirit to teach us "all things" including times and seasons (John 14:26, Acts 1:7). So, in a sense it is true that the natural man cannot know the deep things of God (I Cor 2:10-13). But I understand that Camping was perplexed by the May 21 error and so he was right to pull back.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Acts 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

I Corinthians 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
