PS1 JRPG's First 10 Minutes (1997, 1999) Chrono, Anthology and a Lagnacure

Описание: A look at several JRPGs and their opening ten minutes, focusing on titles released for the PlayStation in 1997 and 1999. This episode features four titles. The first, from 1997, is the second game in the Lagnacure series covered but the first in the series as a whole. The Art System developed Lagnacure was released exclusively in Japan

Joining Lagnacure is three titles all released in 1999 with two of these titles from Square, the first of this pair being a re-release of Final Fantasy V and VI. Titled Final Fantasy Anthology was released in the US, this re-release was ported to the PlayStation by Tose Co. The second Square title appearing in this episode is one of the most beloved JRPG's of all time with Chrono Trigger, released exclusively in Japan this port to the PlayStation would follow 4 years after it's original SNES release.

The final game in this episode is a first in this particular series to release on console with the two previous entries exclusive to the WonderSwan handheld console. Medarot R is a part of the Medabots/Medarot series. Developed by Natsume Co, Medarot R was released exclusive in Japan and would be the only console release in the series until 2003's Medabots Infinity which released exclusively for the GameCube. #jrpg #gaming #playstation
