Описание: Mumbai has got some relief from the torrential rains of a few days, but behind this relief there are deep marks of devastation. The death of a 17-year-old boy after coming in contact with a high-tension wire in Bhandup has shocked the city, while many low-lying areas like Borivali and Andheri are still submerged. The impact of the rain was so widespread that flood-like conditions were seen even outside megastar Amitabh Bachchan's bungalow 'Pratiksha'. This disaster is not limited to Mumbai only, as 21 people have lost their lives in rain-related incidents in the last 5 days across Maharashtra. The Meteorological Department has predicted a reduction in rain in Mumbai, but has maintained a heavy rain alert for other parts of the state and many states.

मुंबई को कुछ दिनों की मूसलाधार बारिश से थोड़ी राहत मिली है, लेकिन इस राहत के पीछे तबाही के गहरे निशान हैं। भांडुप में हाई-टेंशन तार की चपेट में आने से एक 17 वर्षीय लड़के की मौत ने शहर को झकझोर दिया है, जबकि बोरीवली और अंधेरी जैसे कई निचले इलाके अब भी जलमग्न हैं। बारिश का असर इतना व्यापक था कि महानायक अमिताभ बच्चन के बंगले 'प्रतीक्षा' के बाहर भी बाढ़ जैसे हालात देखे गए। यह आफत सिर्फ मुंबई तक ही सीमित नहीं है, क्योंकि पूरे महाराष्ट्र में पिछले 5 दिनों में बारिश से जुड़ी घटनाओं में 21 लोगों की जान जा चुकी है। मौसम विभाग ने मुंबई में बारिश कम होने की संभावना जताई है, लेकिन राज्य के अन्य हिस्सों और कई राज्यों के लिए भारी बारिश का अलर्ट जारी रखा है।
