Описание:
Short demonstration/explanation of basic 3-point flute support and particularly R hand posture, including flute joint alignment for the R4 little finger. This is the sometimes so-called "Rockstro hold", though it goes back well before Rockstro. Note in particular that the R thumb (*the* most important digit on the flute!) is not under the tube but behind it, on the player's side of the tube.
Although made on and discussing some issues peculiar to the Böhm flute, the method applies equally to all forms, systems and sizes of western transverse flute.
(The flute is Rudall Carte & Co. #2013 in Ebonite and silver, a standard closed G# Böhm system flute originally made in 1890 but rebuilt by RC&Co. to A440 in the 1920s.)
