Suspend Drifting for Catfish in the Winter

Описание: Steve Ludvigsen and Seth came to Chattanooga, TN, for a catfishing trip. Steve is one of my patrons. The fishing was terribly slow. Action picked up as we drifted a flat in 35-40 feet of water. We fished hard for seven hours and landed two fish. Despite the slow fishing, we had a great time, and Steve will be back this Spring for some more catfishing.

When: January 20, 2018
Where: Nickajack, Tennessee River
Time: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Water Temperature: 40°
Current Level: 33,000 cfs
Bait: Cut skipjack and cut gizzard shad
Tackle: 7.6' Shattered Cat rod, 7.6' Tangling With Catfish "Monster Rod", and a 7.5' B'n'M Silver Cat Magnum rod with an Okuma Classic XT CLX-300 L baitcaster levelwind reel spooled with 40 lb monofilament line carolina rigged with an 80 lb monofilament leader down to a Team Catfish 8/0 double action circle hook
