If one reflects on the world around us, and the creation at large, one will come to the realisation that there exists a Creator, and that Creator does not resemble the creation.

The Creator is called Allāh in Arabic or God in English, and He sent Messengers and Prophets to convey the message of Islām.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ came to teach us Oneness in God. That is, that there is only one God and He has no similar. Whatever you imagine in your mind, Allāh is different from what you imagine. Allāh created absolutely everything, including every single direction, therefore Allāh is not in a direction. Allāh is not above, below, left, right, inc front of, nor behind. Allāh exists without being in a place and without time lapsing upon Him.
