🎸"Red House" 2-21-2026 - Take 1 - MIX-FIXED - Steve Costello improvises and plays the 1st take of "Red House" from the 2-21-2026 "'Red House Session". 🎵Steve makes use of pick harmonics, feedback and string bends.
🎸2-21-2026: Steve is glad he experimented with new amp sounds, 👂 as it inspired him to really get into this "'Red House Session", there are 2 takes, and this is Take 1.
🎸Steve loves playing the Blues, including doing more takes of the "Red House" progression over the time line, such as Take 1 of "Red House" recorded on 2-21-2026.
🎧 Headphones or good stereo speakers are best for listening to this take, rather than played from a phone or tablet's built-in speakers, as the bass should be heard in the mix. 🎸🎹 🥁 🎤🎵It is a matter of preference, as the guitar may come across as sounding too loud in the mix to one person, but to another it may sound good.
💽 This new take of "Red House", plus many older takes aren't doing any good just sitting on a hard drive, so Steve decided to upload more of these Red House takes with the hopes that someone may enjoy them, and i f only one person likes it, then it makes it all worth it. 👍 "It is what it is".

🎸 Steve's versions of "Red House" follow a standard Blues progression (created by Cosmo), that is different than Jimi's versions of Red House including versions with Noel Redding, and with Billy Coix (1970) on Bass. In this version of "Red House" the bass lines and keyboard are different and unique this Cosmo and Steve's version. Steve's guitar playing in each "Red House's" are each different, reflecting the current mood, and are of a variation that is inspired by the many live versions of Jimi's "Red House" that Steve enjoys. This version is not a copy of anyone's version, but an original rendition.
🎸Steve is not a "Jimi Hendrix Impersonator" doing "note for note" transcription renditions of Jimi's songs. Rather, as Jimi played each "Red House" unique and different, every take of Steve's "Red House" takes are uniquely improvised and different, complete with idiosyncrasies, as this take is certainly different. There are some surprising unpredictable passages in these guitar solo verses. It is what it is.
🎸The Guitar solo starts at about 4:10 second mark.
