Watch my thrilling bus journey from Pune to Nagpur by VRL Volvo B9R Manual multi axle bus in heavy rain. I decided to do Pune to Nagpur rather than Mumbai to Nagpur as you have more bus options and VRL was the only multi axle operating on this route when I booked the ticket. The distance between Pune to Nagour is 710 kms approx. The ticket cost was Rs.1900. Only one person per berth hence the cost is a bit higher as following covid protocols. The buses are parked near Akrudi Railway station. There are two Multi axle buses of VRL that leave for Nagpur. One is at 6:30 pm and the second leaves at 7 pm. So you can witness racing between the two constantly. Infact the first driver lied about his location saying that he was behind so that our driver would drive casually and not be able to overtake. I was amazed by the hospitality and welcomeness of the crew. I was able to do the entire journey in the cabin and was even able to record the drivers driving. Inspite of the heavy rains and toll delay, we were late by just 15 mins. VRL is known for their safety and punctuality and they certainly lived upto it. The crew even invited me for lunch at their parking and Nagesh bhai prepared rice and spicy daal which reminded me of my village. I am very thankful to them for their courtesy and generosity.
