Every great idea starts with a vision, a plan, and passion. Those who are lucky have their ideas come to fruition while others simply do not. The Reanimation Movie was one of those ideas.

I had the concept for The Reanimation Movie planned all the way back around 2021-2022. It would serve as the conclusion to my passion project at the time: The Superstar Arc. The Superstar Arc was a novel concept, combining gameplay with storytelling with some of my favorite fictional characters. This level would be represented as Phase 1 of the final battle of the arc, pitting me up against the black monster with the red eyes you see in the video (a character named Benedict). All the ideas were right there, but unfortunately, when you're 16 and trying to write a passion project, life sucks. You have a job, and demanding high school classes that have to come first. Months turned to years, and my Junior year turned into my Senior year. Next to no progress was made. I had lost the spark. Everything that could've stood in my way stood in my way, and now that I'm getting ready to leave for college, I've finally decided to put this project to rest.

Despite this, I do think I gained a lot from this silly project even if I didn't finish it. I had friends to help me, and I'm certain it helped me improve as a writer.

Although this story may not have a happy end, let it be a lesson to you. Value the experience over the finished product. It's okay if you don't finish as long as you had fun while it lasted.

The New Part

Alright, so I made a goof. I forgot to upload the video of me completing the level that would've been represented as Phase 2 of the battle! Basically, after defeating Benedict in his reborn form, he assumes a new undead form appearing as a red sphere with a furious red eye, hellbent on killing me (the player). In a last ditch effort, he would've fled into space with his high-ranking minion, Servus, who uses his dark magic to transform the moon into what you see in the second level. "The Death Moon" by Akame GD. Afterwards, I would've taken the gems of power that Benedict had been using and defeated him in one epic final clash, defeating him, marking the end of the arc, and officially pronouncing me "Superstar".

I'm now nearing spring break of my first year of college. And as much as I'd love to revive this project, it should stay dead.
