Captured via a hand-held SONY HandyCam FDR-AX100 in FX High Quality mode. The programme reads: "The career of clarinettist/vocalist Theodore Leopold Friedman (aka Ted Lewis) spanned the pre-jazz era with this recordings under Earl Fuller, through to his own bands which featured many greats, until his death in 1971. Spats Langham leads a joyous tribute to the 'high-hatted tragedian of song' so dip your brush into sunshine, yessir! Enrico Tomasso (tumpet); Alistair Allan (trombone); Mauro Porro (reeds); David Boeddinghaus (piano); Spats Langham (guitar, vocals); Malcolm Sked (tuba, string bass); Josh Duffee (drums)." Curtis Volp (banjo, guitar) sits in.
