After doing a full out-of-frame rebuild, I attempt to start the Detroit Diesel 3-53 engine in my Dynahoe 160 backhoe for the first time. Before I can start it, I have to check the fuel system, add oil and fuel filters, and install the radiator and the transmission/hydraulic cooler.
