"The Seduction is old French, so I guess you could only compare it to like Shakespearean English where it's like you don't really talk like that anymore. So it was a challenge for me to learn that because even though I speak fluent French, it doesn't come easy to you. So I did a lot of work, extra work, to just trying to memorize lines and make them my own. But it's also such a satisfaction, right, to... Here I am as a German, really, being allowed to play such an iconic French figure and step into the French history and I'm immensely proud of that. I went to drama school in France and most of my films actually are in French and I've fought very hard for that to try and make that happen."
