This is the story of Mike, an actual NASA rocket scientist who now lives with MSA, a rare neurodegenerative disorder that causes gradual and permanent damage to nerve cells in the brain. It’s a story that is hard for most anyone to imagine—one that has also placed massive demands on his wife, Colleen, a caregiver who deserves the adulation reserved for a superhero.
