Ive spent full days over the past few years on the interwebs looking for information on what should be brain-dead simple.. apparently no one out there in all my searches on any forum thought to mention this damn seven-dollar-and-change rubber clutch line. SO.
If you have an old Toyota pickup or 4runner or what have you, and your clutch isn't disengaging fully or you're having trouble shifting.. get around the back of the engine bay on the passenger side and dig deep behind the vacuum lines and wires and check your hose. If the outside is old, cracked, even if it appears dry, it may be allowing air to ingress into your clutch hydraulic system thereby not fully extending your slave cylinder when the clutch engages the master cylinder.
