There rose a pillar in the night, a beam of blinding light
Where the Fire Giant labored, hidden from the mortal sight.
He built a mud-brick pyramid, a tower for his greed,
With fire-breathing hawks above, of a strange and ancient breed.
While Petra’s wells were failing and the magic began to wane,
Guzan was in the desert, weaving fire into his chain.

"My work is nearly finished! Leave, or find your death in war!"
With an armored fist and enchanted sword, he struck a heavy blow,
While the tendril from the chimney made the giant's power grow.

Then Jeevan spoke the words of power, the marble split in twain,
And the genie fled the tower, leaving coins of stone and pain.

The flame went out in silence, and the room was swallowed whole,
By the darkness of the desert, for the giant’s heavy soul.
They found his wooden diary, his secrets and his lies,
Of a Font of Magic waiting, beneath the western skies.
Now the tower stands in ruins, just a mound of mud and brick,
Where the air was once so heavy, and the fire-light so thick.
Guzan is but a memory, a story for the oud,
Of the day the magic faltered, and the desert fire was subdued.
