We’re starting the morning under a blanket of low clouds, with some thin high clouds drifting above. Temperatures are sitting in the 50s, and a stray sprinkle isn’t out of the question. Southerly winds will strengthen through the day, running 10–15 mph with gusts up to 20–25 ahead of our next front. A few showers may pop up, but the better moisture and more meaningful rain will stay east of I‑35 across eastern and southeastern Texas.
By this afternoon, winds swing around to the northwest at 10–15 mph as the front moves through. It’s not a strong push of cold air, but tonight’s lows will dip into the upper 30s and low 40s under mostly clear skies. Highs return to the 60s Wednesday and Thursday, and we could even flirt with 70 degrees as we head into the weekend.
