I get asked all the time how you can make traditional Kerala food without having to buy a special piece of cookware. While a lot of this type of traditional cookware is available online these days, I get why you might not want yet ANOTHER cooking gadget in your kitchen. One example is Puttu. Aside from making puttu in the puttu kutti, I’ve made it in an idli steamer and a coconut shell, but I wanted to make it using things that are much more common and accessible for the American kitchen 😃 I’m so excited to share this puttu making hack using insulated paper coffee cups, a little aluminum, and a lot of determination 🙌🏾 Watch the video and let me know what you think 😃
