The performance and reliability of AI-based driver assistance systems depend on the quantity and quality of training and validation data. This video shows how digital twins and virtual testbeds can be used to generate training and validation data in sufficient quantity, quality, and time. The process begins with a single scenario template, for example, a simple cut-in driving scenario. All entities are mapped to digital twins and placed in a virtual test environment. By varying appropriate scenario parameters, multiple virtual test scenarios can be automatically generated and executed, providing versatile training and validation data.
