1. TKT gives you an internationally accepted qualification that proves your language-teaching abilities
2. The qualification is suitable if you are a new teacher and want to build your confidence and skills
3. The qualification is suitable if you are an experienced teacher and want to specialise in a certain area, or are starting to teach English for the first time
4. TKT is a good foundation if you want to study for a further qualification in teaching English, such as the CELTA or Delta
5. You don’t need any formal English qualifications to take the course

COURSE TUTORS:
Paul Harvey, the UK - Cambridge CELTA/DELTA trainer
Rachida Guelzim, Morocco - Cambridge TKT Trainer
Rachida Guelzim and Paul Harvey have been TKT tutors since the course was launched by Cambridge ELT almost twenty years ago. They have taught both for the British Council and as freelance trainers. For the past seven years they have been the principal trainers in a major teacher training project run by the American Cultural Association in Morocco in conjunction with MAFE (The Moroccan Association of Friends of English). So far, through this project, over 200 Masters students have been trained by Rachida and Paul, using the TKT course. Many have gone on to find employment in language schools in Morocco and abroad. As well as this, Rachida and Paul have trained teachers on TKT courses in Algeria and Tunisia. It was there that they also trained other TKT trainers, as they have done at the American Language Centers in Morocco.

Fee: $125 - you can pay in your local currency
There is no pass or fail and your result will be indicated by a band score. Band 1 is the weakest, indicating you have restricted knowledge and skills in that area, and band 4 is the strongest, indicating extensive knowledge and skill.
