Here are 6 types of PLA filament that can add variety to your 3D prints:
→ Standard PLA – Reliable and easy to work with. Great for wargaming terrain, cosplay and general-purpose printing.
→ Matte PLA – Contains additives that reduce layer lines for a smoother finish.
→ Silk PLA – Gives a shiny, reflective surface. Ideal for decorative prints, though slightly less durable.
→ Gradient or Rainbow PLA – Shifts colour as it prints, perfect if you're not planning to paint.
→ Translucent PLA – Light passes through for transparent or glowing effects.
→ Fluoro & Glow-in-the-Dark PLA – Reacts to UV light or glows in the dark. Great for sci-fi or neon-style prints.
