In this project, a 50-year-old marine diesel CHP with a massive 6-cylinder engine and 231-liter displacement was successfully repowered.
The result: a 300 kW electric combined heat and power (CHP) system, now running on wood gas using advanced technology from Spanner Re² GmbH.
This transformation showcases how existing engine infrastructure can be sustainably upgraded to:
Reduce CO₂ emissions
Utilize regional biomass
Generate decentralized power and heat
