What would have happened if Vince Clarke, one of the founders of Depeche Mode, who later divided from the group, had composed the arrangement for Strangelove in 1987? In this mashup, I imagined a meeting of legends through the fusion of Strangelove and Situation, two songs I deeply love from these iconic groups. Both tracks, celebrated as influential hits, have left their mark on music history, with Depeche Mode achieving immense success on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. It's a unique experiment meant solely as a tribute to these incredible artists.

Creative Process:

🎛️ AUDIO:
Blending the unique voice of Dave Gahan with Yazoo's timeless electronic arrangement wasn't easy! Using Ableton Live, I extracted and mixed the stems from the original tracks, made slight adjustments to the keys, and kept the final mastering at -10 dB to preserve the original dynamics.

🎥 VIDEO:
To enhance the visual quality, I used Topaz Video AI, performed an initial edit with Ableton Live, and finalized everything with After Effects, ensuring seamless synchronization between audio and visuals.
