1/18 scale of the Lotus Honda 99T with the Camel livery as driven in 1987 by Ayrton Senna
For the 1987 season, Lotus adopted the colors of the sponsor Camel for the first time. Ayrton Senna confirmed, the Japanese Satoru Nakajima arrived as second driver. The engine was new, the Honda V6 which replaced the Renault. Active suspension and gearbox designed by Lotus itself. The 99T thus became the first F1 to be equipped with active suspension, and also the first to win a GP with this system (Monaco with Senna).
During the summer, the inefficient aerodynamics were redesigned. Senna finished third in the championship, with two wins; same result for the team in the constructors' classification
