She said, "Living in a forest is generally seen as a punishment but that is not true. When you live in a forest you become a part of the ecosystem, you are not on top of it. You learn skills in the forest and you get a certain sense of awakening." She also spoke about vanvaas and what it means in the world today. She said, "The whole point of vanvaas or going to the forest is to come out of it with an awakening and with a fresher perspective. Entering in the forest is connecting with your deeper self."
