Daniel Gottlieb Steibelt (22 October 1765 – 2 October 1823) was a German pianist and composer. His main works were composed in Paris and in London, and he died in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He once challenged and lost to Ludwig van Beethoven in a piano duel.
