This beautiful and big Akhnoor Fort is situated in Akhnoor Jammu. This Jammu heritage site is not one of the famous places in Jammu. Everything here has an incredible history whether it is about Akhnoor fort history, Pandav gufa or Pandav cave history, or else Chenab River history. In my opinion, Jammu and Kashmir tourism must promote this spectacular Akhnoor fort and pandav gufa with chenab rail bridge. Watching the flow of Akhnoor Chenab river was a pleasure to the heart and eyes. You will have to cross the Akhnoor bridge in order to visit this beautiful Akhnoor fort, Chenab river, and Pandav gufa.
Akhnoor village name means aakho ka noor. If you visit Akhnoor, you have plenty of options to visit small Akhnoor market located nearby akhnoor bus stand, Akhnoor fort, Akhnoor Chenab River, Parshuram Mandir, Akhnoor prachin Pandav gufa, Akhnoor Gurudwara. This place is under the archeological survey of India after 1982.


Entry Fee: There is no entry fee for visiting the river or fort.

Jammu to Akhnoor Bus Fare: Rs 30 to 40 per person

Chenab River boating charges: Rs 20 per person

Timing: You can visit anytime. (avoid visiting temples during the afternoon as it remains closed)
