আফগানিস্তানের রাজধানী কাবুলে বেশ কয়েকটি জোরালো বিস্ফোরণের খবর পাওয়া গেছে। একাধিক গণমাধ্যম নিশ্চিত করেছে বিষয়টি। বিস্ফোরণের কারণ সম্পর্কে এখনও কিছু জানা যায়নি। তবে, একটি এসইউভি গাড়ি টার্গেট করা হয়েছে বলে দাবি করেছে গণমাধ্যমগুলো। বিষয়টি খতিয়ে দেখছে তালেবান সরকার। বিস্ফোরণে কোনো ক্ষতি হয়নি বলে বিবৃতিতে দিয়েছে তারা। ঘটনাস্থলে বেশ কয়েকটি ড্রোন উড়তে দেখেছে প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীরা বলেও উল্লেখ করা হয় প্রতিবেদনগুলোতে। এদিকে, বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনাটিকে পাকিস্তানের বিমান হামলা বলে দাবি করেছে পাকিস্তান অবজারভারসহ কয়েকটি গণমাধ্যম। এটিকে হামলা আখ্যা দিয়ে পাকিস্তানে নিষিদ্ধ সংগঠন টিটিপি'র প্রধান- নুর ওয়ালি মেহসুদের মৃত্যুর দাবি করেছে সংবাদমাধ্যমগুলো। বিস্ফোরণের পর এলাকাটিতে টেলিযোগাযোগ পরিষেবা বন্ধ রাখা হয়।

The reports also mention that witnesses saw several drones flying at the scene. Meanwhile, several media outlets, including the Pakistan Observer, have claimed that the explosion was a Pakistani airstrike. Calling it an attack, the media outlets have claimed that the head of the banned organization TTP, Noor Wali Mehsud, was killed. Telecommunication services in the area were suspended after the explosion.
