The traditional Hajiganj Fort in Narayanganj city is about to be destroyed due to lack of renovation and maintenance. Due to lack of surveillance, this historical monument built during the Mughal period has become a hideout for robbers, drug addicts and drug dealers. Domestic and foreign tourists are losing interest in it. However, the City Corporation and the District Commissioner have announced various plans to restore the fort to its original form and develop it as a tourist center.
