Target Audience
This activity is targeted toward all general pediatric physicians and pediatric subspecialists in the community.

Statement of Need
Pediatric grand rounds provide physicians a continuous update on emerging trends in caring for the pediatric patient, including new scientific discoveries that provide the underpinning of current pediatric practice. This activity will inform physicians about other issues involving professionalism, socioeconomic issues, and topics related to the ACMGE core competencies.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this offering, the participant will be able to:
1. Definition and stages of Pediatric CKD
2. Causes of CKD in children and importance of genetic work-up
3. Identify factors affecting progression of CKD and understand important complications
4. Renal transplantation trends and statistics at Norton Children's in last 5 years
