President Ramaphosa has announced the establishment of a new centralised ownership model for SOEs in the form of a holding company for all SOE's following the dissolving of the department of public enterprises in the 7th administration.
Ramaphosa says he intends for this to be the springboard through which a Sovereign Wealth Fund will be established, by funneling the profits of well performing SOEs towards capitalising the intended Sovereign Wealth Fund.
