India’s clean energy transition, electric mobility, and advanced manufacturing depend on secure access to critical minerals. To strengthen this foundation, the Government launched the National Critical Minerals Mission (NCMM) in 2025 — a comprehensive initiative focused on securing mineral supply chains, reducing import dependence, and strengthening domestic exploration, mining, processing, and recycling capacities.
By bringing the Centre, States, and Industry onto a common platform, NCMM is building an end-to-end mineral ecosystem to support India’s future-ready industries.
